Well it had been brought to my attention that the first episode had become unavailable. While I'm busy working on some stuff behind the scenes I thought I would take this opportunity to repost the original episode so anyone who has missed it will have a chance to give it a listen. Just a note this version of the episode has the same amature audio editing as the original post so just be warned. I've come a long way since then.

I remember when the movie Gladiator first came out. It was a sight to behold. There were no movies of it's kind at the time. The sheer violence alone made it stand out, and beneath all of the blood and be-headings was a story of a broken man who wanted to avenge his family. It was a perfect movie. Would you believe me if I told you that there exists a script for a sequel? Now I know what you're thinking. Maximus died at the end. Well, how does this script address that? Let's find out.

Logline: After Maximus awakens in the afterlife, he sets out on a quest of the gods to destroy a rogue deity and be reunited with his family.

Prometheus is one of my favorite sci-fi films in the last ten years. It's a movie I love more and more with each viewing, and is just a spectacle to behold. Naturally I was excited for the follow up, Alien Covenant. Unfortunately Covenant didn't live up to my expectations. While I enjoyed the film enough, it was full of nitpick inconsistencies and just didn't feel like the true sequel I wanted. Well after the movie released I heard rumors of an earlier script and changes made to the movie. I was dying to get my hands on the script. After almost a year of searching I finally found it! So did the original script give me more of what I wanted?

Ever since the Justice League movie released it's been in the back of my mind. I found the movie an extreme disappointment and I have just been pondering the future of the DCEU ever since. Instead of dwelling on the movie, I decided to get all of my thoughts out with a giant blog post on an old blog of mine. Instead of sending everyone over to my dead blog, but while still wanting to share my thoughts on the film franchise, I decided to just read the blog on the show! This is my in depth analysis of the DCEU and how it all culminated in Justice League.

This weeks episode features an interview with writer Marc Bernardin. You may know Marc as the co-host of Fatman on Batman with Kevin Smith, but Marc has had a long career putting the words to the page. Today he's here to discuss the new release of his comic book Genius Cartel. Marc brings us through his journey through college, to his journalism to career, and into his current work in the writers' room for Castle Rock.
Be sure to pick up Genius Cartel which released on February 21st. You can find it here on Amazon.

It's time to look at another video game movie that never came to fruition. This time it's the Capcom series Devil May Cry. Written in 2006 and based on one of my favorite game series of all time, the Devil May Cry script is an interesting read that started off slow for me but ended up exceeding expectations to a point.

It's another mini episode! Today's mini discuss's this weeks string of technical difficulties that lead to a Thursday episode instead of a Monday episode. However we do still have a script to discuss this weekend and we have to let you know what's up! While we're at it this episode also has a review for the new Star Wars trailer for Solo A Star Wars Story and for the new Venom trailer. So it's a lot of trailer reviews and recording issues!

Well we finally did it! My wife had never seen Star Wars before last year. Previously we watched the first two original films and recorded a commentary track. It's been a long time coming but we finally sat down to watch Return of the Jedi. This episode is maybe my favorite of the three and her first time reactions were very interesting. From a non-fans perspective the things you expect may be totally surprising. So now it's time to wrap it up as we finish off the original trilogy. Just a heads up the volume of the movie may be a little loud in the beginning.

Robocop is arguably one of the best movies ever made. Or at least it's the best movie about a cyborg cop who shoots perverts in their privates. Robocop 2 is one of my favorite sequels despite it's generally lackluster reception. The film was originally written by Frank Miller but there had to be massive re-writes before the film could make it to the screen. The original script was deemed "un-filmable". Well that script was then taken and turned into a comic book. This episode looks at that original script/comic.

We talked about it multiple times in 2017, but here is our first (and kinda short) movie pitch episode. This episode is a solo pitch where I talk about my own idea for a Marvel Black Widow movie. This pitch mostly revolves around what I would do with the plot of the movie and how it would fit into the Marvel MCU. This will probably be a pitch that gets revisited with a guest so we can do a deeper dive on specific scenes and more intimate story details. Think of this as a preview of the feature.

**CAUTION SPOILERS**
Well the first podcast of 2018 is a look back at 2017. My top ten movies of 2017 are now live. Granted this is a list that will probably shift as there are still movies I missed in 2017 that I really want to see, but this is the list as it currently stands. We also cover what's to come in the early months of 2018, as well as some new episode formats. There's also a sneak Star Wars The Last Jedi review as well.

It's been a few weeks since there's been a mini episode. Today I actually have something to discuss! Not only will we talk about what script will be featured in our next episode, today also features of review of Warner Bros latest DCEU film Justice League. It's what they've all been building up to (?) and we finally get to see the Justice League together on the big screen. The question is, is the movie worth your time or money? Well luckily I saw the movie and I can give you my opinions and you can decide for yourself. I also want to hear your thoughts an opinions if you've seen the movie!

Mortal Kombat is my all time favorite video game series. It's also (in my opinion) the best video game movie. I know that bar is low but I love the Mortal Kombat movie so much. The characters, the music, the action, it's something that brings me back to my childhood. However before the movie hit the big screen, as there usually is, there were multiple drafts of the screenplay. Today is a look at the very first draft to what would eventually become the Hollywood blockbuster.

Comic book movies pretty much dominate the industry now. The Marvel cinematic universe launched in 2008 and we also saw what most consider the ultimate Batman movie, The Dark Knight. It's crazy to think that things might have gone another way. In 2008 we also saw a Justice League movie enter production directed by George Miller of Mad Max fame. Unfortunately the film ran into a series of hold ups until it was eventually cancelled. This week we take a look at the Justice League movie that almost happened.

After a long hiatus we are back with new script and an actual guest this time! We are looking at our first real spy screenplay of the show and another one of the scripts from the infamous Hollywood black list. It's a throwback to the 80s in this entertaining episode!

I think all horror fans know Hellraiser. If you don't know the story, you at least know Pinhead, the leader of the Cenobites. This was a movie I had seen clips of, had seen parts of the sequels, but had never watched the whole thing. I haven't really touched any 80s horror films so I figured why not jump headfirst into an 80s classic and fill in one of my horror knowledge gaps. "An unfaithful wife encounters the zombie of her dead lover; demons are pursuing him after he escaped their sadomasochistic underworld."

This is a movie I struggled with deciding to include or not, but multiple movie sites have it categorized as horror so I'm calling it fair game. The Bad Batch is available on Netflix, and a couple movie review shows I listen to talked about liking it so I figured I would check it out. "A love story set in a community of cannibals in a future dystopia. In a desert wasteland in Texas, a muscled cannibal breaks one important rule: don't play with your food."
